Your donation record
Hoop Geeks Youth Development Inc. respects the trust behind every gift. This policy applies to donations made through our website and supplements our privacy policy.
The site records your name or anonymous preference, email address, optional message, donation amount, date, payment references, and payment or refund status. We use these details to administer your gift, provide a transaction confirmation, respond to payment questions, reconcile records, and address fraud or errors.
Payment information
Payment details are entered into Stripe’s embedded payment form and processed by Stripe. Hoop Geeks’ website database does not store full card numbers or card security codes. Stripe may collect billing, device, and transaction information under its own privacy policy.
Your receipt link provides access to a limited transaction confirmation. Treat that link as private and contact staff if you need help finding or correcting a donation record.
Anonymity & recognition
Selecting “Give anonymously” records the gift as anonymous in the site’s donor-name field. It does not remove the email address, payment references, or information the payment provider needs to process the transaction. It does not make the payment anonymous to Stripe or your financial institution.
The website does not publish a donor directory or a live feed of donor messages. A message accompanying a gift is for staff; it is not a testimonial release. Contact us if you want to discuss recognition or change the preference attached to your gift.
Questions, corrections & deletion
Email hoopgeeks24@gmail.com with a brief description of your request. Include the donation date and amount when relevant, but never send a full card number, card security code, or password. Identity verification may be needed before records are released or changed.
We review deletion requests while taking into account payment, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal recordkeeping requirements. Removing a public recognition preference does not necessarily erase the underlying financial record. For a mistaken or disputed payment, see donations and refunds.
