One-time giving
The Hoop Geeks online donation form accepts one-time gifts in U.S. dollars. It does not establish a recurring donation or membership subscription. Review the amount before authorizing payment, and use only a payment method you are entitled to use.
Donations support Hoop Geeks’ youth development work generally. The form does not accept restricted fund designations. If you want to propose a restricted gift or sponsorship arrangement, contact staff before donating; an optional donation message does not establish a separate funding agreement.
Payment confirmations
Stripe processes the payment. A submitted form, interrupted browser session, or pending payment screen is not proof that a payment succeeded. The receipt page reports the payment status confirmed by the payment provider. Check with staff if the result is unclear before trying again.
Keep your transaction confirmation for your records. A donation does not cover membership dues, uniforms, training, event charges, or any other required program fee.
Organizational & tax information
A website payment confirmation records a transaction; it is not a representation that the gift qualifies for a tax deduction. Nonprofit status and eligibility to receive tax-deductible contributions are distinct matters. Contact hoopgeeks24@gmail.com for the organization’s current documentation before relying on a deduction.
You can review eligibility information through the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search. Consult your tax adviser about your circumstances and keep any refund records with the original confirmation.
Requesting a correction or refund
If a donation was duplicated, entered for an incorrect amount, or made without your authorization, contact hoopgeeks24@gmail.com promptly. We also review other refund requests individually. This page does not impose an automatic non-refundable rule or guarantee approval of every request; applicable legal rights remain in place.
- Provide your name and the email used for the donation.
- Include the date, amount, and receipt reference if available.
- Explain the issue and the correction you are requesting.
Never email a full card number, security code, bank password, or staff login details. For a suspected unauthorized charge, also contact your card issuer or bank promptly. Contacting Hoop Geeks does not extend your financial institution’s dispute deadlines.
How refunds are handled
Approved refunds are issued through the payment provider to the original payment method. Staff may need additional information to locate the transaction and verify the request. A submitted request is not confirmation that a refund has been issued.
The time for a refund to appear depends on the payment provider and your financial institution. Contact staff if a confirmed refund has not appeared. If the original payment method has closed or changed, your bank or card issuer can explain how it handles incoming refunds.
Program fees & event changes
Membership, uniforms, optional training, and any event charges are separate from website donations. Ask staff for the terms that apply to the specific activity before making a program payment. Refunds, cancellations, or rescheduling for those activities are reviewed under the arrangements communicated for that activity and applicable law.
This donation policy does not create a cancellation deadline, processing deduction, or blanket no-refund rule for program fees. Contact the team if an event changes or you cannot participate.
